Re: Flexable Remastared

I look forward to outtakes, alt versions, and demo inclusions on this project. I am a sucker for bonus material..... can't pass on just about anything with a 2nd disc of rarities. While Steve is at it.... Mikey maybe you and him could talk to our friend Prince and make sure if the 2 disc sets of his...

Re: Anyone here likes buckethead?

I guess from the laugh that you disagree Churchbuilder... please elaborate?

The 2 times I have seen him up close, his hand positioning, use of intricate stretches and ability to play extremely detailed things while moving around on stage impressed me..

what's your take?

Re: Anyone here likes buckethead?

Look some people will be say Zappa or Vai are overrated..... it's your ears you have to like... I recently have become a buckethead fan after avoiding him due to my preconcieved notion on his mask and stage persona. I think he is downright nasty on guitar and his technique is flawless, now I am not ...

Re: Mr. Bungle

Love them, very good musicians who are not afraid to push genres.

Mr. Bungle 1st album is just a fantastic frenzy of ADD riffage.

I was back right by the board. When he adjusted the volume on the ipod, it started to clip some of the house PA. Both Rectifiers started the show, after 1st mishap, one was shut down complete from what I could see. Back where I was the guitar was so loud that you couldn't hear anything else. Hey, So...

Buckethead BB Kings NYC-Show stopped due to blown Amp Head

Yes, First there was tons of tech diff from pedals not working, and the ipod he uses for backing tracks not being loud enough to hear in the audience. I don't know how he even hears it on stage, the sound was not good. He was loud, and managed to blow both Mesa Heads. They switched about 15 mins int...

Admitting I have not bought the whole album.. Listened to about 4 tracks online etc.. I think it sounds contrived and weak.. They try too hard with the stop and starts and the quick dual harmony guitars to fool the listener into a return to form, plus Hammett's solos are boring, not they were ever g...

Coldplay or U2 lite as I call them are everything that is wrong rock music. If Satch's version came out first then yes it sounds like a rip off. However I think we may be giving U2 lite too much credit for actually having taste and listening to Satch. I knew there was a reason I liked that melody......

Another V,

Have you heard Trio and Continuum much different than the 13 ish stuff from his 1st couple of albums.

Trio is very SRV based guitar, and Continuum is really a solid pop/rock album.

Saw him in NY last week, and guess what he is getting better and better. He played some real nice jazz chords and some complicated stretches. The setlist was more pop early stuff oriented, but he still took some long extended solos that IMO are very impressive. BTW I also Like Henry From LLB and Lan...

they get my vote for best string of albums from 1st one through Somewhere in Time by a rock band.. I don't think anyone has come close. They rocked at MSG NYC a few weeks ago, Bruce hit 90% of THE NOTES! Which is pretty fucking good. I love they harmony guitars and melodic solo voicings. Ps I love t...
