Re: What amps does everyone have?

Sold my Vetta II two months ago. After spending way too much time trying out every amp in the area, I ended up buying a Mesa Boogie Triple Recto and Peavey JSX 4x12 cab. The DI options on the JSX cab are very convenient for shows. I can setup my rig and have my own sound check while the rest of the ...

Re: Mini Stacks

I put in an order for the Blackstar HT-5 mini half stack yesterday. Not sure I'm going to even use the 1x10 cab, I'll have to see how it sounds when it arrives. I wouldn't be surprised to see the price on these amps go up.

Thanks! The EX on the headstock kinda ruins it though.

Re: NGD!

The Edge III on my 350 stayed stable for 2 months, if that. I rarely use the trem, but the Edge III required me to re-tune after only two songs. Even being setup 3+ times a month, the trem had to be blocked. I like the neck on my 350, which is why I put up with the Edge III trem. The Lo-TRS is very ...

Re: Mini Stacks

The Blackstar HT-5 is a beast of an amp. It gets my vote.

Re: Tube amps with Digital Effects

...if you're made of money, of course... I used to settle on crappy and mediocre gear and have slowly been upgrading everything. Anyone in the market for a new amp, guitar, or whatever, I highly recommend saving up for what you really want. I'm sure many others on this board, including myself, have...

Re: NGD!

I don't see a point in checking out reviews when I've got a certain piece of gear in my hands to base decisions my own decisions off of. It may not have an original Edge trem, but fail to have a problem with the Lo-TRS yet.

Re: NGD!

What's so bad about the trem? The guy had the guitar professionally setup even though he rarely played it. The trem stays in tune fine. I can dive, pull up, flutter, etc. and the thing stays in tune. Maybe I'm missing something? It's not even close to the mess of a trem on my RG350 (Edge III). The E...

Re: NGD!

I've only heard of them once before. The only info I could pull up on them is from an old '93 Ibanez catalog. http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/us/1993/ex_3.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I sure as hell can't complain. The guitar plays and feels great. I'd take another over alm...

NGD!

I've had an Epiphone LP for quite a few years that's been sitting in its hard shell case or on a stand while playing my RG's. Finally decided to sell the guitar and was offered this Ibanez EX3700TP plus cash for my Epi. The guitar looks, plays, and sounds great. I believe these were made for a short...

Re: What are the chances of a legacy practice amp?

Hi Guys, Im currently searching for an amp to play at home, looking around i do have a few choices. I wondered if Carvin have ever thought of doing a Legacy Combo that would be anywhere from 5w-30w for all us home players? I know Peavey did the Mini Colossal with Joe Satriani..just a thought?...wha...

Check out the Vox V847. It should fit what you're looking for very well, being that it's a warm, vocal wah.

As far as brands are concnerned, I think I've tried just about every 7 type of 7 string except Carvin, and all but Ibanez feel bulky and frankly don't sound all that great. Dimarzio have really done the right thing in regards to nailing down the tone of that big b string. A nice even tone balance t...
