I think Joe has become better and better over the years. To me his music is more sophisticated and soothing nowadays. Listening to the newer stuff makes me feel good. SBM is my favorite album. I listen to the old albums mainly because of the guitar work.

Then he said at one of the faster shred parts that SV is playing out of key and not using the right scale. Had to comment just to point out the obvious: Right scale? No such thing in modern music. I like some players and composers who do stuff strictly by the book though. It's an art form all by it...

If this is the case, I hope I'll never grow up.

Please don't bash my idols without decent arguments.

Well, you're not the first person that prefers Racer X, Cacophony, etc. over Steve's music ... Many 'shredders' don't seem to get his music, but well, i guess one day they will get tired of that linear type of playing and they will aprecciate more complex players. Yeah, maybe one day we'll all be c...

I want a 4-neck X-shaped guitar so I can play with both of my hands and feet. Or.. better yet.. make that a 5-neck..

For me it was very entertaining. But then again I like watching acrobatics and jugglers too. I haven't listened his music much, but I must say he's a showman and I admire him for that. And as I said I really don't know his music that much, but good or bad does it always have to be about music? I don...

Cool song. The guitar thing in the outro reminds me of Bill & Ted.

I like Dragonforce-probably because of their cheesiness- Me too. I don't care for power metal too much but Drangonforce songs are so exaggerated power metal it's really fun to listen. Listening to this band makes me wanna whip out my Super Nintendo and play Megaman for hours. Megaman rocks!

I think it is ultimately discouraging when people say, "You can achieve anything you want by working really hard at it!" This is simply a lie to keep the mediocre happy Yeah, that is a lie. But if you say "You can achieve great skill (and even commercial visibility if that's what you are after) by ...

Think about it for second. What is art? Is everything that uses the resource of art material a work of art? If that’s so, aren’t we diminishing the meaning of the word? I think there's no way to define art. For some people it might represent an experience - for some people it represents the intelle...

Mmm. Everything I wrote here was considering "music as a life career," as in, studying music at University. I felt very touched by the subject because it's what I'm soon to go in, as a study program. Sorry, my previous post was a bit off topic. I couldn't get to the university I wanted back in the ...

If my band does a cover tune in a bar am I going to have to start paying royalties to the artist that wrote it? I'm not sure about this, but I think that at least in Finland it's common that in the given situation the bar owner is responsible to pay the royalties. This probably affects your comissi...

If it weren't for the guitar playing I could be long gone. For me studying music is to help me get better at playing and writing. If I realize I play better or wrote a better riff that I did last week I'm satisfied for a while. Sometimes I manage to write stuff that really makes me feel good. It's a...
