I MUCH prefer the stuff that came out of Zep's influence, than Zep themselves. I respect the band, but I really don't dig most of their material.

I keep my strings for about a year and have no tuning problems-ever! Young's Modulus says that, 'The extension of an elastic material is proportional to the applied load, provided the elastic limit of the material is not exceeded'- in other words, it will stretch and go back to its original shape, ...

Mic: It was a Yamaha rack thing, the TX-816, it was basically eight DX-7s in a module, together with a Roland JX-8P. I made a brassy sound from the JX-8 and used a factory sound from the Yamaha, and just layered them together. It’s a very special sound. I haven’t been able to create it on any other...

Re: Places to Go, Concerts to See...

I'm 100% sure that I won't go to see Dream Theater...I mean, I like them, but not that much to miss ZZ Top or Whitesnake! I'd got see Dream Theater... But given that that's not an option, I'd take Whitesnake over ZZ Top by a wee bit. I'm more a metalhead than a blues type. The real question i...

I'm about to go into guitar building myself, I was wondering. Which would be the best school to get into? I have one near by "Summit, School of Guitar Building and Repair" then there is another in Arizona. One more question, can I land a job with Schecter or Ibanez after 2 years experience, or does...

Given St. Anger and The System Has Failed, both bands would have to make a HUGE shift in order for Metallica's next release to be even on par with Megadeth's work. And having heard A Tout Le Monde II (Set Me Free), Megadeth isn't going to be making any huge shifts.

Goin' with Dave on this one.

I like the guitar and I like the playing. Very Dream Theater!
agreed - I was getting flashbacks to Images and Words there.

That said I'd go with an RG5xx series axe.

I've never had a moral compunction regarding used book stores, I sure as hell am not going to have one regarding used music stores.

Adam525's post was spot-on with regard to property rights and abuse.
