Searching for a good Bass Guitar Synthesizer Effect. Anyone?
Hi everyone! Currently I've finished an album with my lounge / ambient / new age project called "fjel": http://www.myspace.com/fjelmusic Now we are trying to build on a live set for these songs and we are looking for a good synthesizer bass guitar sound. Does anyone has some ideas?? I know there's t...

Re: can anyone name this song?
^^^Lame?...LAME?!?! Dude, that song kicks ass!!! Considering the definitive work that Joe does, it is quite refreshing to hear a blues riff coupled with some sizzling solo work. You're entitled to your opinion of course, and I'm not trying to flame what you wrote, but saying that Satch is lame is l...

Re: can anyone name this song?
Just listened to "strange beautiful music" the other day, and still wondered what happened afterwards, but I gave up trying to hope he "'d get back on tracks" and eventually ending up even more disappointed by each new album. :peace Yeah, it is actually sad... A few days ago I watched the Live in S...

Re: Bass guitarist and drummer for Steve Vai next band?
Well, I actually like Billy Sheehan in a completely different way in comparison to other bass guitar players... I think he is more a guitar player on a bass guitar and not an actual bass guitar player... Tough I DO LIKE THAT APPROACH! This is probably going to cost my head on the forum  Groove...

Do you mean M-Audio and Digidesign run together in one company? yes, true...(I believe they both belong to the AVID company) thats why m audio hardware works so fine with all the Digidesign hardware...anuj wrote:^^ Digidesign owns M-Audio.

Re: My engine of creation.
The advantage is that when you're just performing, you have the same rig. The size of your live act permitting, you save money and packing space on a mixer and can convert your rig from performance to recording setup simply by plugging it into a computer. No extra connections required. You also don...

Re: My engine of creation.
I have done quite much recent research for these interfaces. First of all: whatever product you buy: make sure it uses firewire for transport. It is kind of hard to explain, but firewire is simply waaaay faster then usb. just read this: http://www.usb-ware.com/firewire-vs-usb.htm and you know it! Se...

Re: Chickenfoot on the Tonight Show
meh. it was a bit lame. lets put it this way - if it wasnt joe, mike, chad and sammy, that band would be lucky to get a show in a dive bar! I'm afraid I have to agree with that... This is nothing but a simple maybe even a lame guitar riff with one of the lamest entitled songs... Oh yeah?!? C'mon gu...

It is kinda true... Al might be making his point clear in a slightly rude way... But I have to say... I used to be quite a lot on this forum, in fact I used to check the updates just about every day twice! but nowadays there isn't really much happening over here except Al with his usual "provocative...

I wouldn't advice it... Like mentioned you should look for a nice big set of studio "nearfield" speakers...
Tough that might be to small when playing live...
