Nah...Scarlatti isn't the most exciting music written for classical guitar, I wouldn't go for it either.

"Saint agnes and the burning train" by Sting is pretty easy and easy to pick out from the record.

If you can find a record with Ida Presti and Alexandre Lagoya there are some pretty sweet pieces there. Spotify has a few tracks if it's available where you are.

My guess is your problem lies in that when you start with a downstroke the last note is on an upstroke which makes it a tiny bit more difficult getting to the first note again. It's a common issue. Make up a little lick that involves that kind of picking and practice it until you can do it in your s...
