Re: 17 June 2016 - Leuven, Belgium - PAW Tour

Steve was on fire this night! :guitar I don't think he missed a note during this 2,5 hour extravaganza which had everything you can expect from the 'genius of the space age guitar'. Very thought out show once again, rock solid. Great and funny virtual jams with Brian May, Satriani, Petrucci and even...

I think his 1994 album Introspection has some of the most impossible chops ever recorded. Good songwriting too.

well, in the crossraods movie, eugenes trickbag has a very very high A in the final chord, equivalent to a 29th fret note on the high E, how the hell he got to that note is up for speculation, i think it was an artificial harmonic but theres no reasons to suggest he didnt bend up to it... ...except...

Awww, you shouldn't have told him. It's a secret. It seems to be a recurring theme for Steve. Martian Love Secrets, Alien Love Secrets, I'm Your Secrets, Love Secrets. That's all I can think of. Any more? You're forgetting one, but I can't tell you which one--it's a secret. WHAHAHAHA ...

Great vids! Too bad there were some parts left out of FTLOG though. Does anybody know where the video was shot? Beautiful surroundings. And as for the 'Audience' vid... I really love that live footage at the end. I wish Steve would still be throwing guitars into the crowd! I've been looking fo...

Hey Dug I know exactly what you mean, I thought the same thing when I listend to SOTT the other day. And I'm 27... It comforts me that Steve released his considered masterpiece P & W when he was already 30, so there is time... But as for Slip, don't forget that Steve didn't write the songs fo...

Whitesnake is using this virtuoso to show off: 'see how good we are'. You might have a point there, but then again, I don't see what's wrong with that. I still think Steve's playing adds a lot to the songs. I know, at the time there has been a lot of criticism on how Steve filled in those songs, bu...

I think the Whitesnake-thing is the least 'Vai-ish'-thing he ever did, and oddly it's the thing I like the least. It's not extremely bad or something, it's just about the only Vai-stuff that hasn't seen too much of the inside of my cd-player. The least Vai-ish?? It has ALL the trademark Vai-stuff o...
