Re: Where can I get 'People Of The World'?

It's a bonus track on TSOL in Japan, though I can barely find a copy to buy, let alone for a good price! Will it ever be released as a Vaitune? I just want to hear it! Same here. I just can't believe there is a Vai song in the world that I never heard yet ! :) An official lossless download somewher...

Re: NEW STUDIO ALBUM FOR 2018?

I don't see a new studio album from Steve coming in the near future, but yeah, I would love to ! :)

Anyway it's been some months we haven't had any news, and Steve doesn't seem to be touring at the moment, so.... maybe he's in the studio :)

Re: Modern Primitive/PAW25 Discussion!

Modern Primitive was *not* what I was expecting. I respect that. But now that you've found out what the album is not, perhaps you could give it a chance again and try this time to listen to what the album actually is ? Maybe you'll be enchanted by the unexpected discoveries you might make ? This is...

Re: Modern Primitive/PAW25 Discussion!

Yesterday's show in Luxemburg was amazing :) I will talk about it in the dedicated topic on the 'review' session. I just wanna add that today, after three listen to "Modern Primitive" during the past days, I know enjoy immensely this new album. It really is cranked up with VAI DNA, and it really sta...

Do you know if a vinyl edition of "Modern Primitive" has been considered ?
It would obviously be a double album, with "Pink And Blows Over" occupying the whole Side Four !
Wouldn't that be great ? :)

I'll be there with my two kids (15yo and 17yo) and we'll be early in the waiting line because we'd like to be as close to the stage as possible (my daughter is not exactly tall, it would be better for her).
Don't hesitate to say "hi" should you see us in front of the queue. ;)

As above / So below..... from P&W of from The Ultra Zone ?

Steve first released the two pieces in 2004 as mp3 files on the website. At the time, it was announced that those tracks were "from an early configuration of 'The Ultra Zone' album." As an opener and an ender for this album. http://www.vai.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3750&start=255" onclick="wind...

Re: The Official 'Secret Jewel Box' Thread

What about those new tracks that Mike Keneally recorded on piano several years ago? That could be the 9th disc (and make the live Alcatrazz one release instead of two). I'm not sure if the new piano reductions played by Mike were actually properly recorded. What I know is that a second album was pl...

Re: Modern Primitive Discussion Thread

- Soloing parts. Yea, I know what you're thinking but hear me out. This is a very weird nitpick, but most of them sounded like modern Steve Vai. I follow his musical development quite closely, and the way he played/composed those parts sounded like 2012-2016 Vai, not 1984ish, as I expected. Well if...

Re: 2016 Tour

Thanks for the confirmation ;)

(In the first half of the Story Of Light tour, there was also Deborah Henson-Conant on harp and keyboards, but not on the second half. I got lucky: I saw one show from both halves ;) )

Re: 2016 Tour

It seems the Passion & Warfare 25th anniversary tour has started, right ? How come there are no fan reviews yet ? :) Come on guys ! We need everything: the infos & the passion ! (but not to many spoilers please). Can we know which musicians are in the band ? I believe Steve mentioned a 4-piece band,...

Re: How did the records get their names?

I might be wrong but I seem to remember that "Fire Garden" was going to be called "Fire Coma". I suppose Steve changed his mind during the making of the record. There was also one time a hint that the follow-up to "P&W" would be called "Light Without Heat". (or was that going to be the name of the b...
