Well, I've read the relevant thread and it seems Steve and the Breed may or may not work together again. Okay, I've worked through the stages of grief and I'm now past it :D Hopefully, all involved remain on good terms. Although I'm sad to see the guys go, the possiblity of something new is intrigui...

I just read Steve's latest blog and was wondering the same thing. I certainly hope it's not the end of The Breed! I really love this incarnation of Steve's band.

I was lucky enough to see this unit play live a couple of times, so that may have to do, but surely they aren't disbanding.

Anyone?

Are you using mac or PC? Actually what you could do is send the cd back to Sony and exhange it for one without the hideously faulty spyware-laden DRM stuff. They recalled it because there were a few to many issues with it ;) J :) I'm using a PC. I don't know anything about this DRM stuff mentioned ...

iPod Problem with G3 Live in Tokyo

Hello Everyone, I recently got a "fancy pants" iPod as a gift. Naturally, I decided to load the entire Vai catalog onto it for an aural extravaganza of a weekend. My wife is thrilled  Anyway, I got down to loading the Vai songs from G3 Live in Tokyo and they won't pop up in iTunes. I find this...

Just my two cents of course, but I like the best the Astoria lineup:

Stevie
Tony
Billy
Virgil
Dave

Steve, I love the soul-searching and complex nature of Real Illusions. However, most of my favorite moments are when you're just tearing it up and having fun. My vote is for a guitar-oriented CD like "Alien Love Secrets." If nothing else, it will give us more time to digest and look forward to RI:2 ...

I find this topic very interesting. To be sure, each of us is allowed his/her opinion. Some will agree while some will not. I do not like every song Steve has written and I respect others' rights to have the same feelings. However, I would disagree he is repeating himself and not attempting enough e...

I think both of these gentlemen are amazing musicians. Without a doubt, each has his own unique style and stage presence. However, I prefer Tony's sense of melody and more "laid-back" onstage attitude. The beauty of the situation though, is we have both players represented on CD and DVD to enjoy whe...

Need Help Confirming a Billy Sheehan Clinic Date

I know it's a long-shot but could anyone give me the exact date that Billy held a clinic at MARS Music in Arlington, TX, somewhere near the summer or fall of 1998. He was promoting a hip-shot product, I believe.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

My opinion is that Steve ABSOLUTELY is a soulful as he is technical. I offer as examples of his soulfulness any of the 7th songs. As for technical ability, how about "Freak Show"?

For me, there is no question about it.

Yes, Steve asked "What, you guys again?" as my buddy and I stalked he and the band for autographs from city to city through Texas

I saw two shows on this tour. On both occasions all band members were available before soundcheck and after the aftershow meet-n-greet to sign and pose for photos in the bus area. I found each band member very accessible, friendly and willing to take the time for everyone there expressing an interes...

In another thread I read someone say how well he/she thought Mikey represented Steve and his organization. I thought this said it all very well. I had the opportunity to meet Mikey and see him in action at both shows I attended over the weekend. He appears to have so many and varied responsibilities...

Vaiboy: Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I'm just wondering if you've put the photos you took online anywhere. I'd love to see them, and I'm sure I'm not the only one! :) I didn't take any photos of the shows. I only have photos of myself with each of the guys. I'm sure it wouldn't be intere...

I would like to share with everyone, what I hope, is a unique insight into the band's experience meeting us, the fans. I will not discuss the sound issues, nor detail the setlist, because that sort of thing has been well-documented on these boards. Instead, I will tell you about the individuals in t...
