Re: EVO IV?
I found some material to post here :D Video of Yngwie showing his guitars - including BFG Jem. And Evo II, after it's hardware got changed from gold to cosmo black (actually it wasn't, Evo II is Gold and Evo III and IV are Cosmo Black) Look at Thomas with Evo in the background of the second photo! 8...

Re: EVO IV?
Hey Jeroen! So, as far as I can remember, Evo II came in use in late 90's (Fire Garden tour and onwards) and was given to Steve's studio tech/engineer (Charlie Bolis) as it was stated on All About Evo minisite. This means Evo II was not in Steve's posession anymore as of 2003. Then came Evo III, whi...

Re: EVO IV?
It's not Evo IV. It's Evo II, which was a lot in motion between 2000-2005, especially at the time when Steve had Evo's crack being fixed. You can distinct Evo II from others by a black pickup selector tip. Watch The Animal from Live at the Astoria and you will know what I am talking about. Pe...

Re: Steve's hand painted jem/strat
I saw pictures of Steve's "Cherry Blossom" girly guitar (maple fretboard) on Instagram. It auctioned a few days before for 15.000$ on ebay, is that true? How come Steve has decided to do so? This guitar was really one of a kind...together with her girly sister!

Re: What guitars does everyone have?
I have updated my guitar collection. Now I have: Ibanez RG550SA Ibanez RG550EX Ibanez JEM70V I also used to have a Gibson Les Paul Ultra, really nice and playable guitar, but I sold it to another guy who was really interested in having it (nice guitar player too!). I also own an ESP LTD EX401DX temp...

Re: BO takes a Bust (broken neck)
Bo had a neck replaced. This is the third one. Bo used to have what I believe was the JEM 7DBK neck, that was later modified with LED's by Martin Sims. (And was eventually broken by the airport staff and repaired by Hoshino...) It was a 3pc neck, that had a thick bubinga stripe running in the middle...

Re: Fire Strings Jem
Hey Jeroen, it's just a joke. Nothing serious  I really appreciate your fast response! When you're looking for something or just digging around and you find all the information neatly organized... how good can that be! I hope we can do that for every piece of Steve's gear in this forum section...

Fire Strings Jem
Hello people, I have spotted a Jem that Steve used on Fire Strings project back in 2002. It might be interesting for some of you folks here. I have opened a new thread, because all the others about this guitar are locked and have plenty of dead links from the old phpBB forum (which is no longer acce...

Re: Steve Vai Website Photos of EVO
I guess what you're seeing is only a reflection from modeling lights/flashes. It's very unlikely for Steve to make an end to the business he had made with Ibanez through all these years.

Re: Modern Primitive/PAW25 Discussion!
Bop! and Mighty Messengers are playing in my head constantly, can't get them out (that riff with a Strat, oh dear it blows me away). I've been singing Mighty Messengers all day! The Lost Chord is a very nice addition to MM. I feel that this album sort of like, hmm... contains pieces from all his alb...

Re: EVO Without Neck On Picture
Well, if the original neck would have been repaired properly (like BO's), it would be really a cool thing to see it on Evo again. Original neck and body together, after almost 20 years!
