Re: Modern Primitive/PAW25 Discussion!

Modern Primitive is an album that many people were looking forward to, including myself, and I'm very glad that Steve took the time to make it the way it is. First, I would say that I really like the cover, I think it reflects the vision behind the album and its title, which (along with the Passion ...

Re: Steve's new glasses

I like them, they looked kind of unusual at first, but the more I see them the more I find that they make for a nice change. But the most important thing is that they feel comfortable to Steve. Yeah, colorful is always the right word with him, even though it will never be as colorful as his music!

I forgot to say that the bass drum head that Steve decorated for Jeremy looks absolutely amazing.

Re: Stillness in Motion - Vai Live in L.A

I've had the DVD for almost a week now, and I've spent quite some time with it but decided to wait to share my feeling until now. I really wanted to be honest and not just sound like I'm paying lip service. I don't know whether this is Steve's best live release, but for now it definitely is my favor...

Re: "Thomas"

In one word: Wow...

Only Thomas could have built such an instrument. The name is a good choice.
And it's good to finally see it finished - and properly photographed. :)

Thank you J!!

As far as I know, I think it's Pro Tools.

Re: Buying the "same" gear, will not make you sound like Vai

I don't know whether this will feed the ongoing drama or not, but the little clip of Yngwie that Jeries posted on the other thread made me remember this other one, maybe some of you guys already saw it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9v5e1TTwts "That was a little painful on this guitar!" Over...

Re: I know you're here 12 string effect

As far as I know, it's the 12 string neck of Steve's white triple neck Jem, going into an Eventide H3000, then directly out in stereo into the console.

Re: 15 May 2014, Rome, Italy - AGS Master Class

It was a memorable evening. Like I said in my comments for the May 2 masterclass, it seems to me that with regard to explaining ways to access true inspiration, Steve is getting closer and closer to the core of the matter. I've never heard anybody else talk in such a clear way about these things, an...

Re: 2 May 2014, Padua, Italy - AGS Master Class

I attended a few classes that Steve did in the last few years, and I can't help but feel that this one was the best one. Concerning the points that Steve wanted to get across, it seems to me that this time he managed to express them even more clearly and vividly than ever before. Especially when he ...

Re: My Secret Jewel Box is STILL half empty.

Honestly, to me this has never felt like a problem. Personally, in the past I would have preferred Steve to work (and tour) on newer material, as long as he can physically do it, and reserve the release of archival material for when he will no longer be able to tour or play at his current level. But...
