For the Love of God w/ orchestra?

Hi, does anyone know if my memory serves me correct? I vaguely remember someone saying a while back (maybe over a year ago) that Steve had done FTLOG once with an orchestra, and that they'd someday put it on the website for us to see if they ever got the chance. I have no idea if I'm just having a f...

I've never actually been to a Vai concert, and I haven't seen all of the videos, so I don't know what's on video, or what he's even performed live.

You wouldn't happen to have any "Windows to the Soul" live, would you? :P

I practice both ways. With the metronome to get the parts down, and improve them. And then with the CD just to make sure that I have the right "feel" of the song. Sometimes you can't tell that you're playing something slightly off until you play with the song. Of course, you have to be able to hear ...

I think an instructional video would be great. A live video is great to watch, and you can analyse it to a certain extent, but a classic example is the one mentioned before on these forums: the camera switches to the drummer during the last run at the end of the FTLOG solo, and the drummer's just li...

Can you slow down the tempo of a song with "Acid XPress 3.0", or do you have to buy another version of it?

Mine doesn't seem to be working. I can load a track, but nothing plays when I hit the play button.

My ear has gotten better with time. I can't make out Vai solos until I slow it down to like 1/16th of the speed though, so obviously my ear isn't great yet. The thing is at this speed, drums and stuff make it so messy to listen to, and you can't hear the guitar good enough.

(no pick, just forces the notes out by hitting them hard with the right hand.) very difficult to get the hang of, but easy to do when you've got a grasp on the technique. Sustainer is required for the proper effect. :) Do you mean with the right hand (whammy), or that he's hammering them with his l...

Is "In Session With Steve Vai", and "Hal Leonard's 'Steve Vai: Guitar Styles & Techniques'" the same thing? Because I want to buy one of these today, but I want to get the better one. Basically, I want the full background tracks, and full tabs. I'd like to know the tabs for background guitars too, b...
