I don't know, but I just got Flex-able Leftovers the other day for the first time, and god is that song sweet. Love the rythym and tempo, and the whammy pedal is unreal. As far as tonality goes, I've got no idea. All I know is the song is catchy as hell, and VERY hard to perfect. Steve is a genious....

I hadn't even thought about Hair of the Dog, but that would rock. Until further thought, my two and a half would be:

-Stairway to Heaven
-All Along the Watchtower
-Anything Hendrix or Zeppelin (can't go wrong with the classics)

Speeding

Anyone know a link to the tab or guitar pro file (if there is one, which I can't find) for this song? This song is killer, and one I was just recently introduced to, as I just downloaded Mystery Tracks Vol. 3 from Napster (legally, I paid for it thank you very much). I have nor the time or the patie...

I'm quitting guitar. His eight finger tapping makes me ashamed to play anything. Have him on G3, please.

I strongly disagree with Eutow, who says Green Day sucks. Bad. Real bad. Green Day does not suck, just because you don't like something doesn't mean it sucks. Green Day writes catchy-ass songs that may cater to a different crowd than you are in, but you can't deny the fact that they are hugely popul...

Vai-Tunes Download Didn't Work... Mikey?

Mikey-- Just bought the G3 Commentary track off of Vai Tunes, and it would still only let me download the sample version. Any help would be appreciated, as I really don't want to pay again, especially if it doesn't work a second time. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks. Maits10 P.S. Sorry for...

Simple review: Petrucci: Only two songs, which was bad, but these G3 DVD's always have something like this for no reason. Great song selection though, and his playing is just superb. Glasgow Kiss is a great tune, fun to watch. Vai: The guy is other-worldly. I love the choices for the three songs, an...

The song The Boy From Seattle is Steve's tribute to Jimi Hendrix and his underrated (very underrated if you ask me) rhythm playing. All the little psuedo jazz chords and riffs are very indicative of the part of Hendrix's sound that goes unnoticed by most, as most people only focus on Hendrix's lead ...

To answer the original question; yes, Joe Satriani is unbelievably technically versed in every aspect of guitar playing. He is also one of the rare few who doesn't throw in every trick in his repertoire in every song just to show off. To the person who started this topic, Joe Satriani and Zakk Wylde...

You hope Yngwie won't be on it? God, you guys are picky bastards. I'm not the biggest Yngwie fan, but you all act like he's the worst guitar player in the world. He's forgotten more than any of you will ever know about the guitar; get over it. He plays a particular style, so what? How about Joe make...
