Re: The Official 'Secret Jewel Box' Thread

I really don't see why Modern Primitive should be part of the SJB discs. It has never been announced as such. A lot of Modern Primitive consists of new recordings, it contains singing parts by Devin Townsend (recently recorded also): what's all this got to do with The Classified ? I think Modern Pr...

Re: The Official 'Secret Jewel Box' Thread

So, a couple of things. Very excited about the CDs and I've had a listen to Lovely Elixir and it's, well, lovely. :) And thanks for posting in the thread, Jeroen. However I do have one question. Seeing as this was posted in the 'The Official 'Secret Jewel Box' Thread' and I'm pretty sure someone men...

Does anyone know what this tune is?

I found a video of Paul Gilbert discussing mr. big tunes and techniques with a GIT tutor. At the start of the vid Paul is jamming with the tutor to a really cool riff and playing a wicked solo. Does anyone know what this song is or if it is just a jam. Below is a link to a rather pathetic midi file ...

you should be able to tell if it's really yngwie, because his playing is distinct and easy to spot. I agree, i am aware that these p2p files artists are sometimes mistaken, however even though i have been told it isnt yngwie, in my opinion it really sounds like him and i wouldnt mind knowing who it...

I belive the two racer x tunes he plays in the video are FRENZY then B.R.O. I listen to these in awe when I hear Paul Gilbert play them and cannot believe I have just seen an eight year old play them. Fantastic!! To the guy who wanted to learn them, if you dont fancy tabbing them then frenzy is on t...

He said it beacause its true. I have a copy of a van halen gig when DLR was the singer and he called Eddie "the best Rock n Roll Guitar player in the world". So I think even if Vai hadnt joined up with Whitesnake Hagar would have still called him "the king" just beacuse he is. And I also agree with ...

I still havent seen any footage of the fire garden one but I can imagine how amazing it would be. And also Hand on Heart, I love this song and I think it is one Steve's finest tu...
