If ya got a way of recording and a drum machine, record this progression: Am 8 measures and F 8 measures over and over for about 10 min. Then just play man!! You'll come up with something kool. Then when you've had enough of that play a different chord progression.

Improvisation is fun!!

Whoa! Ok....I don't know if this helps but I once stuck my guitar in the closet for about 7 months out of frustration. When I got it back out, I felt reborn!! Sometimes you have to just walk away for awhile. Does anyone need you musically? Well, tell them to wait...it's your life. Ya need a little t...

I can't answer just one ,simply because of the impact so many instrumenals had on me and their place in time. When I was really young the theme of "Love Story" made me want to play so bad. Then "Eruption" just really freaked me out.......uh then the live version of "Medeterranian Sundance/Rio Ancho"...

There are 2 reasons why I don't own an Yngwie Strat. I don't play a Strat comfortably because the volume knob is to close to my hand. Also, not enough frets. Now, when I played one, I absolutly loved the scalloped fretboard. So I scalloped my NightSwan and never looked back. If you can control a sca...

I was there in the beginning of VH. When I 1st heard them, It was a new music. The reason why I say "a new music" there's was no sound like this ever before. It wasn't just Ed's guitar or DLR's voice or MA's bass and backing vocals or Alex's snare. It was the fact that these 4 guys came together and...

I think you mix up DAVID GILMORE (jazz guitarist) with DAVID GILMOUR (Pink Floyd guitarist).
