An emphatic yes Steve! Why not record an instumental CD ... unless it in some way interferes with RI2. It's up to you man but we would all be excited to hear an instrumental record.

It's a great album, Zakk and Allan playing together is pretty nutz. Can't wait to hear the new Planet X since Allan's playing on it.

People have talked Steve's vibrato to death but nobody can duplicate it properly ... or so far I've heard.

Planet x is one of my favorite bands and Tony's like my favorite guitar player ever (it's a constant battle in my head between him and Marty Friedman) so it sucks that he's no longer in the band. With Allan it'll be a great record but I think it'll lack the heavier edge that made PX so special.

It's so hard to pick just one so I'm gonna cheat a bit. When it comes to tone for me Michael Schenker has it, he's just got this quality to his tone that blows me away in every respect.

Others I dig.

John 5 is a great player, I hate how he gets dismissed because of the Manson thing. Truth be told though the first time I heard of him was with Manson and I myself wrote him off but then I got the David Lee Roth album with him and was a fan since then. I got Vertigo the week it came out and played i...

Tony MacAlpine is really great... Listen to his Master of Paradise, he is actually singing on that record. Tony Mac sings? Hehe, my god. Yes he does, and very well too. I was also shocked to hear Vai sing but he does a good job too right! Neither of them is on that amazing ROnnie James Dio level bu...

Guess I missed this thread for a few weeks. I'm a huge Maiden fan, I've seen them live so many times (with and without Bruce) and they just always do it for me.

At least a real guitar player got the damn award or whatever it is.

In any case Zakk rocks, the man's on monster player, vicious picker and got tons of attitude and that's cool.

Firstly let me state that Tony's my favorite guitar player ever so it's hard for me not to say "get every damn album now!" Having said that I think you should pick up Edge Of Insanity, Maximum Security and Chromaticity for his solo work. If you want to hear him in the context of metal check out Mark...
