Hi folks, Okay, it seems someone has taken me up on the offer, so it's now closed. I am gutted to have to do this, and it will be the first Vai tour I've missed in over ten years, but sometimes other things get in the way and we have to make sacrifices. But I'd rather somebody else go and enjoy the ...

Okay folks, only one week to go until the Birmingham show and I still have the tickets mentioned in my previous post available. If anybody is interested, please drop me a line a.s.a.p. All the terms still apply. However, something I will include as a FREE extra (meaning it's NOT for sale, and I'll g...

Note: Just as an added detail to my previous post, regarding the ticket seats, they are unreserved as the Carling Academy is a standing venue.

Thanks,

2xTickets for Birmingham

Greetings! I have some good news for two Vai fans out there, and unfortunately bad news for me. I have two tickets for the show in Birmingham, UK on Thursday July 19th up for sale because I am now no longer able to attend :( I've checked with Mikey, and he's kindly granted me permission to use this ...

Actually each time I have seen Steve live it has been at a reasonably small venue, and I have to say I personally prefer it that way. I think probably the best venue I've seen him in was the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham (1997 G3 tour) which is not too far from Sheffield. Very clean, comfortable,...

Bit of a pointless debate as everyone will have their own take on things... so here's mine! "Whispering A Prayer", although only ever released in live format (AIAUW & G3 CDs and the Astoria DVD) it really isn't done any justice. I have been there when Steve has played this live several times (...

But Steve has a vast musical knowledge of music history, theory and how to apply it to the practical. Steering away from popular music for a while, there are guys in the contemporary classical musical realms that are really pushing the boundaries of music, such as Mark-Anthony Turnage and Gyorgy Li...

Help! I tried downloading the tracks the day they were put online, but the transaction was "declined", each and every time I tried. I meticulously went over my details to ensure everything was correct but still no joy. The only thing I can think of is it's rejecting my password. I couldn't find anyw...

I have this concert on video. It was Expo 91 and the BBC broadcasted it over the radio and had an Expo night on BBC two so i recorded it. Its an amazing gig with so many great musicians on one stage and two drummers playing simultaneously..FANTASTIC! Brian May introduced Steve as " The master of th...

I think the January release date that is featured on amazon.co.uk is the PAL version, because I saw an option on there to actually purchase the NTSC version on import now, so that kind of indicates the one you have to wait until the 19th for is a different format. I have the NTSC version and it runs...

I recieved my copy of the DVD that I pre-ordered from Music Today last Tuesday (30th Dec), and I live in the UK. So I can't really complain because it only took about 3 weeks to come overseas (they don't give you the option of faster delivery for overseas unfortunately - I wouldn't mind paying for i...

Well what can you say about a Steve Vai concert?? The best damn show on Earth that's what! I've been very lucky enough to catch Steve live on four occasions when he has come to the UK, and each time he just blows me away with an even better show than the one previously (something you don't think is ...
