switch

IIRC when you switch the sustainer on the 5 way switch is "turned off" which means its position has no longer influence on the sound. And the sustainer works with a unit called "driver" which is automatically turned on that is the bridge pickups I believe. So no split I think. thats cool but when t...

Hiya, Well the gain is already very high so any increase will make the sustainer sound very artificial, but I will give it a go - it is so damn annoying that only one note won't work!! A baffling physics mystery! Cheers Col turn the pickup 180 degrees if it is a evo got that one fro fernades hope i...

Re: Flo Update

I'll have a word with the guy who fitted my Sustainer and ask him how he dealt with the single coil. I'll sort out a pic of the back of mine for you, however mine is a lot neater than Flo and I had a custom cover made to exactly fit the routed out area. If you've seen the back of Flo it does look a...

5150 III

I LIKE THE FIRST GENERATION 5150'S ON CRUNCH, OR THE MARSHALL JCM 800'S!! VAI'S AMPS ARE GREAT ALSO YOU CAN TURN THE GUITAR KNOB DOWN A BIT AND GET SOME SWEET SOUNDS. WITH TOO MUCH GAIN YOU CANT REALLY DO THAT, ITS DISTORTED ALL THE WAY OUT, YOU CAN SEE THIS TECHNIQUE IN SOME AC/DC WORK. REALLY ALL ...
