As strange as it sounds, I'm going to say get the one you like the look of best!!! They're all great guitars and can be set up very well with a super low action, or a higher one if you prefer, and all are happy to accept new pickups, from a set of EMG actives, to vintage Gibson PAFs to some custom w...

I'm currently using a 1991 RG770DX in Candy Apple Red. Because it's red, and red ones play faster!!! I've got others stashed away but this oneis my main player at the moment. It was fairly cheap, in very good, but not mint condition so it doesn't matter if I put a ding in it and it has great vibe to...

I'm not aware of any that do this yet unfortunately. Not wanting to sound like an advert, but at the moment I'd recommend that you buy a guitar in the USA and send it directly to ATD if you want a swirl. The dollar's not doing too well against the pound, (better than it was mind) so why not take the...

I believe the chap is working in a guitar shop in Newcastle these days. Sound Control it might be called.

There was a small piece on him a few months ago in the magazine Guitarist.

Nitro finishes are the best,i dont care what theylook like. They are thinner and have to be put on in multiple coats but the ley the wood open up better.Thats why the old fenders are soo sought after. OK then, howabout an ultra thin pyroxylin sealer as used on the N4? That's thinner than nitrocellu...

A few years ago I used to play guitar in a three piece called "The Joe Must Go On" Which was a Satch cover band. We'd occasionally branch out and do a Vai tune here and there, but if I'm honest I find Steve's stuff more difficult to get my fingers around. Especially these days when I don't have time...

Yeah and I suppose it's James that tells him that he should: There area lot of funny things that go on in the hierarchies of various bands, and it could really be that Kirk is only a footsoldier and told exactly what sort of style he's to play in by the band's generals, James and Lars? There could ...

It was my understanding that the N2, like the N4 had a Lawrence bridge pickup, with only theN1 having both pickups as Washburn own branders? Personally I've head that the Lawrence is the more responsive pickup but there's a 6 month wait on them if you can't find one in store. Not much help, as I've ...

A limited run of the snake inlay RG550s were done for the UK music store "Musical Exchanges" back around that time. They weren't Loch Ness Green, but a lighter, more yellowy shade of green. They had Gold hardware and a gold pickguard and had balck Ibanez V series humbuckers. I'd wager that you've go...

Come on guys, I'm fairly sure no-one's trying to start anything at all. Let's just take a few deep breaths then try to continue the conversation sensibly. We've definately gotten off track a bit, but maybe we'll know more about the SL after NAMM and that may spur some more interesting and useful dis...

Not sure I understand. Neck must be able to bow?
I posted then deleted a post, jeroenn could be referring to my previous post, in which I stated that certain players like a small amount of bow in their neck from preference.

I googled a little to see who I could see using this, and the only thing that really came out was an interview where Floyd said he couldn't name names yet due to contracts not being signed. As for companies, I found Jackson offering it on a few models and BC Rich offering it a lot. The former is I'l...
