Re: Powerball and guitar playing...
I agree with Patill. To get the most out of lengthy practice sessions don't forget a proper warm up and to take breaks. Overdoing it will cause more harm than good.

Re: Vai has no feel
Sometimes if I play drunk I can't feel my fingers. It sounds incredible live but for some reason reviewing the recordings the next morning makes them sound a bit shit. Must be my equipment or bad engineering. Oh, this was about something different. Errr...ok. I got something for that too. I wonder i...

Re: Ibanez Flying V?
I had a Gibson V and hated it. Had to buy a separate stand for it that let it hang from the head, couldn't play sitting down and the bottom part of the V sticks out so far it makes a simple task like taking a few steps closer to your pedal board a real pain in the ass while trying to play. To modern...

Interesting. The kill switches are kinda nifty. Not my thing, but someone may dig it.

Support to overcome GAS or to enable us to continue living with it? I don't want to quit. I don't have a problem. I can quit at anytime.Patill wrote:so what´s up? I know there´s a lot of people with GAS here, so speak open-ended. This is the support group you´ll find shelter in

Ran into an old friend last night
A friend of mine made these for himself. It isn't a paint finish, they're actually made from marble. They weigh about nine pounds each and have sustain for days.

Re: -MUSE-
I hadn't heard of Muse until a couple weeks ago when I heard Resistance on the radio and dug the modern rockabillyish guitar with a great classic synth sound and cool melody. I normally don't listen to music much on the radio, thus I seldom hear new music, but they got my attention enough to check t...

Re: Attenuators
I can see it being good for live performances in a church like he said in the video but I'd rather spend the money to build a small sound proof room within a room than use that to record.

Re: Ibanez Apparel & Parts Store
I'm not seeing anything wrong with the site. Maybe it's already been fixed? Everything looks fine to me. Drop menus work, all visible, nothing annoying that I can see. More thorough descriptions (like for the history book, how many pages and all that kind of stuff) would be better but other than tha...

You didn't say most solid state amps are cheaper. You made a blanket statement that implies all of them are. oh, now the bean shitting begins...I think I´ll leave it here ;) Begins? This is the point I've been driving at since I joined this thread. Each time you posted you never wavered in offering...

It would be fine if you only bent the high e and b stings. A controlled bend on the low e or a strings looks like a bit of a bitch.

Re: Tubes in amps is it just a myth? One for debate....
Your statements are in absolutes. You didn't say most solid state amps are cheaper. You made a blanket statement that implies all of them are. You also made a blanket statement that the only people who buy/play them don't know any better. The blanket statement that tubes amps are better is what's at...

Re: Tubes in amps is it just a myth? One for debate....
You're the one that's claiming the price is the factor, I'm just demonstrating that your blanket statement claiming that solid state is for people that can't afford tubes is false. The big whole in your argument is that you only see two reasons for ever owning a solid state amp: A, it's for noobs th...
