That's my Tremol-No review. I think it's worth a read. Since there will never be a production fixed-bridge JEM... if you want the body style, neck style, etc and don't want to build your own, I'd go that route.

I think I lost my favorite pick. Dunlop Tortex, yellow one. I burned it with a candle at the fat edge of it (top?) and melted a little bit away. I was bored, but it ended up fitting my thumb perfect after that. I could never duplicate the success. All my other favorite picks are just ones that I alw...

I just hate listening to people play in guitar stores. I don't care how good they are, there are very few times I like it. It's mostly people just cranking the amp so they can bask in their own self-love. Doesn't matter the style of music or the quality of playing, it all annoys me.

My college is $1900 a year.... I should have restated... $30k/year is becoming cheap for PRIVATE schools. 8) My first school was ~$25k/year, yuck. Berklee (Berkley is in California) is not impossible to get a free ride at, but you'll have much better luck going for a music program at a "regular" un...

Yeah, what do you want us to tell you? College is expensive. $30k/year is becoming CHEAP! Look at other schools in the Boston area, you can easily spend $30k/year before even having a place to live. Apply for financial aid. Apply for scholarships. Call an admissions counselor and they can help get y...

eh I'd probably just make a mix CD.

Either that or MR Big - Lean Into It (but I would have to somehow erase To Be With You so they listen to more than one track).

There are people "carrying the torch" in every genre really. It's just that things like jazz have no market for instant $$millions$$ so there is really no incentive to just follow the trends. Therefore, you have more people who do either something very different/personal or those who stick to tradit...

Well I gave the album a listen. It's not bad, but hasn't really grabbed me yet. He has a good voice and does a good job of avoiding using too many cliches (no "I'm gonna love you to the break of dawn baby")... but in the end I think it's his voice that ruins it too. I think the falscetto is the real...

ya know, i suppose she looks pretty good for 40 plus, but she's still obviously 40 plus. she's not like really young looking or anything. yea, the guitar player knows, and they still do gigs and hang out and everything. the entire situation boggles my mind. the best part is that the drummer won't a...

I can't believe you guys spend so much time worrying about 5 or so people who like JT. Don't you realize there are millions upon millions of other fans over the world that worship the guy? Go bug some of them.

Hey some people like some music and some don't. Some people are close minded and never give things a chance. Many forms of music are just an evolution or even direct copy of past ideas. Anything you think is original, someone out there will find something to prove it is not. Old and pointless arguem...

Damnit guys you've sold me. I'm going to pick up Justified. I have heard some tunes and liked it (felt dirty about it, but liked it) and now I have to get it. I'm a HUGE MJ fan so when Justin first started his solo thing I was really disappointed. He was trying WAY to hard to copy the king. Now it s...

It can certainly be heard. I tend to like old gear, just because it's cool. Yes, I'm being completely honest there, it's not better, just cooler. Anyways, I'm certainly used to the shortcomings of a guitar as far as construction and playability (to a mild extent). However, pitch really annoys me so ...

The neat thing about fanned frets (from my experience) is that it is a surprisingly easy system to get used to. I've played them here and there and it just seemed to fit like a glove. Looking at it, you might think otherwise. Anyways, I like those Vigier guitars, but the only one I'd play is an expe...
