I cam here to ask whether to get a Pod X3 live or boss gt-10, but not much point in making a new thread when the top 5 of so are all on this. Ive heard the pod has better amp sims, but im intrested in the gt-10s looper feature. Can you have multiple loops running at once, as in you keep adding more ...

KIKO LOUREIRO-TAPPING INTO MY DARK TRANQUILITY BT needed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmyxYbQO9iE

Here's the song I'm talking about. There's loads of covers of youtube, but they're all non-english speakers, so asking them would be a waste of time. I've done a hell of alot of searching but found nothing.

Thanks

Fucked up my trem for good this time: With pics!

So I was taking off the strings on my RG570 (with original edge trem) to get at the pickups. I forgot to block it so as soon as I took the strings off the bridge sunk down into the body. I grabbed the trem arm and pushed it into the body to try and raise the tream so I could slot something underneat...

Need a cheap, low-wattage, ss amp :P

Ok, so a change from all this discussion of JSXs, 5150s, Legacys etc. I'm not in a band atm, and won't be playing any gigs anytime soon, also I haven't been doing any recordings either, so my JCM900 is just sitting there colecting dust for now, as it isn't really suitable for practicing (sounds like...

The soul of the guitar is in the player 8) .

In seriousness, we're talking about tone here? I'd say its a combination of everything, most importantly wood and pups.

Getting to grips with arpeggios around the neck

Can anyone give me any help/advice on getting to know the arpeggios up and down the length of the fretboard? I already know all the notes on the fb well, and I know how the arpeggios are constructed. Should I be thinking in terms of shapes, notes or scale degrees when playing/figuring out these arps...

Who else is sick and tired of 18+ gigs?

I couldn't see Steve last year because it was 18+ and I was only 14. I can't see Satch this year because again, it's 18+. Also, it seems like it's only in Ireland that this happens, and it's always because there's an open bar in the venue. I mean come on! Can't they go a few hours without booze? Or ...

I really hope he does. Plus, I've heard mandela hall is a really small venue, hopefully I'll be pretty close to the front. Gonna try and meet Joe and Steve either before of after. Any idea on how i'd go about this?

Also, just bought two tickets :D

YES YES YES! Satch's coming to Ireland! And whats better, Belfast! So I have less far to travel. Most people leave out belfast, but not Joe. Gonna get some tix right now!

EDIT:

Anyone know if Gilbert is playing the Irish gigs too?
