Hey guys, thanks so much for all the input. But, I think that Vaism brings up a good point, the Royal Oak show in Detroit doesn't allow any cameras either. I'd love to get a few pictures with the band, but, not if I have to hide a camera in a most uncomfortable place for the duration of the show.

Eh, you never know. The main section of Steve's site was just given a huge facelift, so, it's possible there are more updates coming soon. However, back on topic, the new guitar is absolutely amazing. A double neck to reign over all other double necks. A thing of beauty.

Regarding the Aftershow Pass

For those of us who received the free after show pass in our Sound Theories pack, what exactly does this meet and greet entail? Is it just us simply going backstage and saying a quick hello to Steve and the crew or is this more in-depth? I was actually kind of wondering if we'd be allowed to take pi...

I'm not entirely sure if it'll work, but I know Warmoth makes some pretty good scalloped necks. I know they make ones that work for Strat style guitars, I'm sure they can make a 24 fret one for an RG.

If you're really really concerned about it, you could always purchase a practice tool. I took a trip to Europe last year for about a month, and I was really worried that my chops would be dead by the time I got back. I was so worried that I went out to Guitar Center and bought a Ruff Rider callous m...

I know this topic might be a little full already, but I feel like I should share a few of the things I did to get rid of stage fright. It's good to pretend that people like your music, but I think that everyone needs to experience playing in front of a crowd that couldn't care less about your perfor...

Just thought I'd pop in to add my two cents. Oh, and by the way, cheers to you Cesar! I came across some of your videos on YouTube, excellent work my friend, you're well on your way to stardom. As for this Tremsetter situation... I've got the Hipshot installed on my Carvin DC127. Honestly, I really ...

Hm, seems like that would work reasonably well. However, even though the double-sided tape would be less obtrusive, there's still a possibility of sticky gunk on the headstock. Maybe I'll try it someday to get that authentic "Vai" feel, but, until then, I think the mic clip is working pretty well.

I didn't say I wanted Steve's tone, I just want the pedal for the versatility it (hopefully) will have to offer. If it happens to be a worthwhile pedal, it'll save me the trouble of a lengthy effects chain of modded overdrives and distortion boxes (although I can't guarantee that wont happen at some...

Oooh. That sounds nice. I'm glad Steve's finally designing a distortion pedal, maybe I wont have to have 20 pedals in my chain just to get good tone after all! I hope it's coming out soon.

Actually, I found a pretty good way of holding picks that doesn't require tape, velcro, or glue. If you've got all your tuners on one side, go out and buy a Dunlop pickholder. I know they're meant for micstands, but I just stretch the thing onto the back of my headstock. It works like a dream and ha...

You got that right my friend. Satriani, Vai, and Govan all in one night, that'd be like heaven. However, I'd pay good money to see Mattias or Timmons rip it up alongside them as well.

As much as I'd love to see Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci share a stage and a jam together, I agree with the others, G3 just isn't the same without Steve. I mean, think about it, when you're thinking G3, you think of Steve, Joe, and another person. It may have been Joe's original idea, but G3 has be...

In honesty, I don't care much for this album. I used to not even be able to listen to it, but it's grown on me a little. It's still not on my list of top albums, but I keep it in my collection because it's a part of Steve's musical history. I think the reason this album didn't go as well as his othe...

Hm, I guess I'll keep that in mind. I was using an amp that didn't have an effects loop, but none of the other pedals they had out gave me the same problem. I'll try it out again and see if I can get them to hook it up another amp just in case. Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it.
