Then how in the world would one rationalized using one finger as an art that is cool? At least with my guitar I use all ten fingers, and maybe a foot or two while singing. Where is the skill in moving a record? I mean I just assume that a lot of this DJ stuff is part of "hip hop" or something. Then...

its not the mistake itself that creates the trend. for instance paul gilberts fingerstyle playing isnt very good, and he played the end of To Be With You solo a bit slow, but it turned out sounding even better. it added a little character. try playing several parts of the solo slow and then it just...

"Remember, if it's not clean, it's worth poo poo." - Steve Vai I think he's right... But I'm not trying to say that you need to play 9132412369 nps and sound perfectly clean... but Hendrix and Page (just to name the 2 that have been mentioned a lot) played sloppy even when playing slow... actually ...

I understood perfectly well what you said, but as I said-he is just out of tune-it is not a style when it comes to him. Good example for purposely playing sloppy is Vai`s solo on "Junkie"(in the middle of the song) or "Call it sleep" also by Vai, "Steve`s spanking" by Frank Zappa(also the solo) the...
