But then, drumms aren't art...or are they? What did the drummer get on her math test? DROOL. HAHAHAHHALfjsod;jf;aosjfdij I love d...

Yeah it's always easier when you can search for the tab and have it right infront of you in a couple of seconds. :P But yeah, it's also a lot more gratifying when you can play something awesome and tell people you figured it out yourself. I've had my embarassing moments when people ask if I used a t...

Just a thought: Figure it out yourself? Even if you can't figure out some of the fast runs (maybe a couple in the song), do some of the easier stuff by ear, or by all means the faster stuff if you can. You'll get good practice and it makes you better. Think of it as a good challenge. It's always fun...

Indeed, especially if the girls aren't into the whole rap/hip hop scene. You gotta love it when the girl you're into likes Steve Vai and the bunch. And yes, I've had my share of guitar experiences where girls absolutely love you. Just another one of those perks of playing well. :p

One important one that I think you can almost post in all three sections is the vibrato, or at least in intermediate and advanced. It's a simple thing but learning to perfect it and use it in the most effective way can be a long study.

Or maybe it's you who thinks that he is long-defunct? If so, I can say the same about evolution, considering, after all, it happened BILLIONS of years ago, so who could say they know what happened anyway? Hahah but enough of this discussion. Best of luck to you Vaiagra.

He's playing all the right notes, except he doesn't move his left hand up and down the neck as you describe, because it's really not all that necessary. I've figured out a lot of my own variations on what the tab says where it's on the lower frets, and it sounds just as good, but without all the eff...
