I have a Roland VGA-3 (and a RG320FM loaded with a Dimarzio SD and a PAF Pro), and it sounds nothing like that video. Even one of the posters on the You-Tube site (named mztA3) also disagrees. The tone on that video sounds like a tube amp, but the Roland VG series is not. Something is amiss with thi...

Wear out??? That one I have never heard before. Wearing out an amp with a pedal. I only use the clean channel on my amps. I mean I have a Marshall but I don't think you can apply that thinking to a Roland and not anything else. I really think the guys wading in water to deep for him. With all due r...

Or know of anywhere I could find some? Doesn't matter what style of music. (also jcm800 if possible) Thanx in advance.

Re: New Ibanez Prestige SA Series
Ibanez saying that unlike other ibanez brands in this price range, SA and GSA models receive the same individual inspection and set-up as their most expensive models. I play RG1570 Prestige. Though at a glance SA and traditional RG are different series, Ibanez assures that 25.5 neck scale offers na...

Re: Wsnake
"Slip" is still on my ipod :D I thought this was a great fit for Steve at the time, but glad he didn't stay long and pursued his own thing. I was a big whitesnake fan before this, so it just happened at the right time for me to get excited about it. I think I saw them three nights in a row in upsta...

When I started, I played the easier songs from 80's bands that I listened to, since I would have given up in frustration after trying to emulate Satch and Vai. Also, don't try to do a conventional free-from solo at first, focus on the rhythm parts and pre-dominate/re-occuring melodies. Sample list: ...

I have a Digitech Whammy, and there are several ways to to do this. a). (obviously the easiest): set the harmonize function to '5ths': it turns every note into a power chord. b) keeping the harmonize function on '5ths', play a root note and it's octive. It looks like this: D----14--- A---------- voi...

Evo or Breed pups in a basswood RG?
Hi Folks, I have an Ibanez RG 320FM, and am looking to get much better pickups. Based on the research I have done, I conclude that the "safest" bet is to put a PAF Pro in the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge. I have read in a couple of areas that the Evo's and Breed's are not suited to bass...

It depends how badly you want that Sabbath sound. Tony Iommi used a Gibson SG, but explorers are good for that kinda stuff too. Have a look for Ibanez Destroyers, I have a black one its great. Also look at Tokai, they real good guitars for a real cheap price. Check it out, http://www.tokai-guitars....
