I see legato as a technique , an alternative I used to be almost all legato at one time,it was just easier to sound faster and cleaner, compensating for bad technique . in reality i was doing nothing more then cheating myself.my picking (what little skill i had)turned to complete sh*t from it also. ...

I see legato as a technique , an alternative to picking. So the two are completely different things. I used to be almost all legato at one time,it was just easier to sound faster and cleaner, compensating for bad technique . in reality i was doing nothing more then cheating myself.my picking (what li...

I just don't get it, we (the righties) use the left hand to fret the strings, wich I think is much more difficult than picking; and we have more dexterity on the right hand, so wouldn't it be better if we learned to play with lefty guitars ? that is preciesly my point in my post. but since they mak...

when we start to play, we have a natural tendancy to want to play from the side we are "handed".we (both l and r) are capable of learning to play with either hand, we just conciencely choose to play that way cause it seems easier at first, now think about that , is it harder (at first)to fret notes ...

alex is one of my original metal guitar heros. i got testaments first 4 albulms , did alot of "shred along " to those albulms. he had a different way of getting around the fretboard then the other 80s metal guitarists and ended up on some "odd" notes alot of times, that was the jazz side of him poki...
