Re: PSYCHO

 Acoustic shards was recorded in 1991, almost 17 years ago. It's just him sitting around noodlin' around. Like zappahead said, you either "get it" or you don't. Also keep in mind that we're talking about a guy that is basically a bit of Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Hazel, Will Ackerman, Randy Rho...

Buckethead's Acoustic Shards

I just picked up a copy of this album, it is terrific. Bucketheads ability to play wonderful acoustic compositions is just amazing. I can't beleive someone has so much ability, it's astounding. His techneque is odd, but flawless. He'll often make it sound like there are two guitars. Just fantastic! ...

The murder

Hey, chaps, I'm looking for a power tab of "the murder", the one found on the tv release which hasn't been edited, ideally!

I know there's a guitar pro and a note pad version, but the notepad one confuses me, and I don't want to download guitar pro.

Thanks in advance if this is possible!

"Alien Love Secrets on Steroids"

I remember Vai speaking about this as a possible theme for a new album he would release. Also several other projects he'd like to release. Now that he's releasing this album with him playing with metrepole orchestra I was wondering whether we'll see any of these other projects any time soon? I'm not...

what is this chord named?

Good evening, just a quick question tonite. If i'm playing a G fifth (G, D, G) and then flatten the octave by a semi tone (G, D, F#), am I diminishing the chord?

A little rusty on the theory it may seem, thanks in advance!

I don't think tapping has anything to do with it, mate. I'm sure Vai is equally as fast as buckethead at 'shredding'. Buckethead sure does use it a hell of a lot more though. No, The article that did the whole speed thing was talking about a section in the song "The Riddle" where Vai was tapping. V...
