For info, I got it via Amazon from one of their market place sellers in Canada. It cost me £9 delivered and I got it in 3 days!

No need to wait for UK release dates ever again! And this is the best G3 DVD yet....

The best way to learn things like positioning and overcoming physical problems on guitar is get a teacher to show you how to do it. Personally I am against musical tuition but that's another matter. I took 3 or 4 lessons when I was just starting out and the teacher showed me how to play the pulp fi...

I suggest buying the DVD & CD from an amazon market place seller. I got the DVD for £9 delivered from Canada, and the UK release date was far far away. It is a great DVD. My only criticism would be that it has so few songs on it - I seemed to have to endure far more Malmsteen on the Denver DVD than ...

If it helps you, I reckon most of us feel like this some of the time. I'm a semi-pro musician (as in, I play gigs and teach as well as having a 'regular' job part-time) and I've been playing for 20 years, but I still sometimes think I blow. Talking to Steve at Evo, he feels the same sometimes, which...

Amazing... there aren't words. Ran into all the guys outside the stage door in the morning, Evo was great, soundcheck for around 2 hours I think it was... saw some cool stuff. Q&A I thought was a little crowded in the room used, but hey.... he's a popular guy. I've never really thought much about dr...

Pleased to hear it man - I dare say some of the RGT guys are crap, just like many teachers generally are crap, but I have had many simialr moments over the years with tutors where they tell you something you never knew, that suddenly makes the things you do know fall in to place. Makes it fun to pla...

I have a related problem... Basically I'm in a similar situation to you bubble - I've been playing 20 years and make the majority of my living from it. I mostly play my own compositions or improvise over standard progressions with a fusion band. In either situation, I find myself considering my play...

Haven't read this thread all the way through, so may be repeating, but.... I've now seen 3 different RGT tutors over the years. One of them now teaches at ACM, where they use the 'Rockschool' syllabus and examinations but most of the tutors themselves are RGT (!?!). Weird... If you look at the rocks...

Maybe not helpful, but if anyone fancies going to Glasgow instead, they can have my ticket and I'll go to wolverhampton instead!

I live in Birmingham, but Glasgow was the only venue with tickets when I finally woke up and tried to book.... what a drive man....

Glasgow EVO

No doubt this has been covered elsewhere, but I couldn't see it in the searches. Can anyone tell me when I need to be at the concert hall for EVO on the 21st? 3pm is listed for other venues.... is it always the same? I've got approx 6hrs of driving to do to get there, so could do with knowing when i...

depends what you're doing. Loads of successful guitar players can't read from a stave. I can read and write, and recommend everyone should. Otherwise, playing guitar is like being able to speak english without being able to read or write it. Also, as I do sessions and teach, I have to be able to rea...

That's what he's saying... and lots of people subscribe to the theory. If you've only got 3 notes to use, you have to be pretty inventive to keep it going for an hour. Different vibrato in terms of width and speed... etc the idea is that some of these new experiments make it into your vocabulary, an...
