That Rock-n-Jock performance wis incredible, if I remember it correctly while Steve was playing Kevin Costner looks over in sheer amazement and I could have sworn he mouths the words "Holy _ _ _ _"

Vaigod, If you ever find that article I would love to get a copy. I know what you're saying about that album-compact disk-cassette, it is easily one of the biggest influences on my guitar playing and an amazing example of emotional soloing (especially the Ease solo) The Guitar Player flexi-disk of T...

Mikey,

You are indeed the fountain of Vai knowledge. I would really appreciate more info on that album, it still blows me away. If the Ease solo was done in one take, that would make it that much more magical.

Info in regards to the PIL performances

Recently I listed PIL's Ease as one of my favorite Vai recordings of all time. Since then I have been listening to that album constantly, paying careful attention to that ending solo on Ease. Does anyone have more info regarding this album such as Steve's personal comments and perhaps even what gear...

The guitar looks great. I think I read some of your other posts regarding Wayne and his service.

I have always grooved on Vai' sound on PIL's "Ease"

Besides the ridiculous guitar playing his sound is just classic Vai, a little bit raw but pure energy.

I have no clue what he was using back then, but I still enjoy that song.

I'd love to see a pic of it.

I'm sure it would be ridiculously hard to find all of the stickers but I have seen some of them in bulk lots on Ebay.

SemiShred,

I hear ya, the green meanie is a classic rock & roll guitar with a personality all it's own. I want to make one more as a tribute to Vai, not to try an cop the original's vibe because that is impossible.

EVO555 The only ones I've seen are being sold by WayneCharvel, personally I think it would be more fun to make a relic'ed looking one and at the same time not having my wallet get violated. :P :P Any tips on good magazines and other websites for pics of it. I have looked at some of the nice shots on...

Has anyone here made a Green Meanie?

Hey Folks, I apologize if this has been asked a million times before but I was just wondering if anyone has made a replica of the legendary Green Meanie? I was thinking of making one as a fall project and was looking for as many pics and tips as possible. Any help would be appreciated, Rich ~Wrinkle...

Mikey, I see what you're talking about, I searched over the gallery a little more and there are several pics of these wrist supports/rests. Everything from clear to the white. That 'JemSite' has a pic of the grean meanie with a slab of blue plastic (or whatever) mounted and that one looks pretty thi...

Mikey,

That's what I was imagining the plastic was for, if I remember correctly the piece on the Grean Meanie seems to be pretty thick (maybe even curved?)

Thanks for the info and also for locating my login info, I appreciate it :D :D
