Yep, was awesome to see the whole family thing going on :) :) We were rather close to those enormous speakers though - I think they need space to project a clean sound - the bass and bass drums sounded distorted. But fantastic concert. I think it was my 10th Steve Vai concert :)

It's a Callaghan, made by Kerry Callaghan from South Africa. Canadian beech body (v heavy), can't remember the neck, with birds eye maple on the fretboard. Evolution pickups.

I love it, but I want to add my criticism here. I don't think the feel is quite as exciting as the other G3s (though of course the filming, sound, standard of playing, etc is awesome). I think Petrucci's music is v interesting, but I don't think the Dream Theater magic comes across somehow. Dunno, b...

No it's his main lead sound. You can do all his lovely distorted sustained solo stuff with it going into the drive channel of a Legacy. He adds the DS1 as an additional gain boost for the bassy chugga-chugga stuff like great balls. You HAVE to get this pedal, from robertkeeley.com. You won't regret ...

He has a TS9 DX turbo "Flexi 2 x 4" keeley mod, and a standard DS1 (he doesn't use either of his 2 keeley modded DS1s any more - I think he's given them to Dave W. Satch still uses his, I believe).
