Re: Tony Macalpine -- Tonight

Would like to go to this: Paul Gilbert’s Great Guitar Escape, featuring Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine and Guthrie Govan @ Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY from 7/9/12-7/13/12 If you want something pretty cool to listen to, check out the latest Opeth cd, "Heritage." Another great release by them imo...

Re: Getting into Buckethead.....

Go with: Electric Tears (stunningly beautiful) Captain EO's Voyage (masterpiece of mellowness) Shadows Between The Sky (nice & mellow, good winter holidays cd) A Real Diamond In The Rough (similar to Shadows, but better imo & a bit "darker") 3 Foot Clearance (some rockin' stuff & a few mellow gems) ...

Re: Anyone here likes buckethead?

1. Love most of his music. Some extremely brilliant stuff, some clunkers; even the best hitters strike out once in awhile, but overall, the guy is a freak of nature & a pure musical genius with excellent technical skill & unlimited creativity. Anyone whom says he lacks melody, obviously isn't very f...

There's a song that Smokey Robinson sang near the end of The Temptations film, it's called; "I'm Really Going To Miss You," & that one hits me real hard, kind of like a ten ton hammer. :(

Yes, ALWAYS take earplugs just in case! They are to be used at your own discretion, depending on where you're standing in relation to the sonic blasts of bliss that will be permeating your entire being at the moment of impact. :?

Everytime I seen them, their sound was crystal clear, & I'd even go as far to say that the one time I seen them @ the house of blues, they were right in the top 5 of the best overall sound I've ever heard at a concert. Their songs really interpret very well live. Basically what I'm trying to say is ...

PT/Blackfield/No-Man

I highly recommend Stupid Dream. Imo, it's a masterpiece & my fav by them. These are also pretty awesome as well: In Abstentia Signify Coma Divine The Sky Moves Sideways Deadwing Lightbulb Sun is very good too, just a bit different. A couple of Steven's other projects, Blackfield & No-Man, are quite...
