Bubble out. Y'know Bubble, when you title something as you have, you are obviously going to get people that will speak up for themselves. Was it entirely neccessary to call Jem's 'shite', and on Vai's site no less? And have the nerve to call it a 'mild message'? Pleassse... Please decide what it is...

So by your logic, anyone that wants to play any one of these guitars is some form of copy cat. What brand guitar do you play? Who do you listen too? Or are you a total original? Don't tell me, you have a guitar that you changed the pickups on and now you're able to speak such drivel from your pedes...

What i was actually implying that through the association of Satch it usually leads to Vai..... didn't mean there was a direct hammet/vai thing... my error of phrasing!! Also hammet's style is unique he plays the same semi-shred stuff (badly)but often in the wrong key..... not many people make a cra...

I personally think that Hammets platying is a big pile of steamy shit........ However, I think that he deserves massive respect for playing in the style that is his own (whether liked or not) consistently for quite a few years.. The band have influenced a bucket load of people into the seedy but awe...

two uninformed comments in one response.... not bad. I could say you are the uninformed one... firstly Perfect pitch can be learned as it is simply a pitch recognition excercise and is another advanced technique of ear training (I have perfect pitch which has been developed over about 3years, just ...

Perfect pitch cannot be learned no matter what any ear training program disquised as a perfect pitch trainer tells you. Perfect pitch is often a problem for peopel that have it. It hinders them from enjoying what is otherwise enjoyable to 99% of anyone else in the world. two uninformed comments in ...

Indeed the cat is an awesome shredder (as are other ladies) but she has been known to get fans on stage to lick her ass (and I mean that literally)!!! I think it's not possible to get away from the fact that there are more guys who shred - or at the very least have their reputations based on such- b...

Avril Lavigne, Billy Joe Armstrong, pop guitarists, etc So wrong about Avril Lavigne - interesting, well played (and performed) songs aimed directly at the pop/punk market. Let Go was out for ages with massive sales! Wrong about pop gutarists - most of the guys I've met and played with doing that k...

The '91 video is available in cd/tab form, and is a much better learning tool as the examples are tabbed properly and it just has a more user friendly feel to the whole thing. (choosing what examples you can realistically use in your own style of playing etc)

that's my thoughts folks.......

Personally I would use my 3rd finger to roll accross the frets..... but most people would prefer the 2nd finger as it can be easier to maintian the shape of the arpeggio as you play it. How big are your hands?? I have small hands hence I use my 3rd finger for stuff when most are using their 2nd (esp...

I've seen Guthrie live and although I have massive respect for what he does in the fact that he can play absolutely anything easily with mind boggling speed and ease, there is still something missing somewhere for my personal taste. To me he doesn't have the same kind of audience connection thing t...
