Ibanez JEM7RB Prototype
Serial No. 870039 Another prototype guitar, Ibanez marketed this "Rootbeer" finish model for a few years. It features a grip more similar to the old Jem guitars built by Joe Despagni in the early to mid 80's, shared in the Ibanez family only by the Ibanez Jem 7P. It is also the only early Jem guitar with ordinary dot markers on the fingerboard. This particular guitar has white tape along the bottom and back of the headstock. Interestingly, it also has a weight attached to the back of the headstock. Despite its age, the guitar remains in excellent condition. This guitar is kept at The Harmony Hut - Steve's home studio in Encino. |
