the MACHINES / STEVE'S GUITARS
Ibanez JEM777LNG
Serial #870032

An early Loch Ness Green Jem guitar. 777 of these were made, each of them signed and numbered by Steve Vai. This particular model has become one of the most coveted rock guitars from the last 20 years, and has even inspired web sites dedicated to the particular model (such as Jemsite and others in our list of fan sites).

This particular guitar was used by Steve on tour in 1988 and can be seen in the "Stand Up" video. It is not signed or numbered, and other than some body and neck wear and a small crack in the fingerboard under the first fret, it is still in very good condition.

The guitar is not fitted with an Ibanez Edge tremolo, but a Kahler one, and a mechanism in the rear spring cavity can actually lock the tremolo, effectively turning it into a fixed bridge.

This guitar is now safely locked away in the vault.
