Ibanez Jem 7BSB
prototype, no serial number

This Jem 7BSB is a prototype guitar for a new model that was introduced by Ibanez a few years ago. This is one of the first to have the rubbed finish, and is one of two that were sent to Steve to compare their variant sound & aesthetic qualities. This version had a mirror pickguard and rosewood fingerboard, and is available through Ibanez.

This particular guitar was the first Jem 7BSB, and was damaged so badly on tour that it was unplayable. It was resurrected by Richard Pike (who now owns the guitar), and though only the body and electronics are original (everything else was destroyed, and the body required massive work and regluing), it still plays like a dream.
