ORIGINAL
JEM777LNG PROTOTYPE
One of Steve's most famous and widely-seen guitars, this was one
of the main guitars used on the David Lee Roth Skyscraper World
Tour, and has appeared in countless magazine and photographs.
The guitar's serial number "7770" is hand-engraved in
the neckplate - like many of Steve's prototype guitars. The guitar
features a rosewood vine-inlay neck instead of the standard maple
disappearing pyramid neck. The original neck was broken when Steve
performed a "round the world" move onstage and the strap
came loose. The guitar came to be known as "the flying guitar"
and had a propeller taped to the headstock as an inside joke.
The guitar comes with the original broken neck (pictured) as well
as the original pink strap and propeller. The original broken neck
also features hand-written production information in Japanese directly
from the Hoshino factory. This guitar is completely one-of-a kind
and represents the final "blueprint" of the Ibanez Jem.
